Organization Background
St. Lawrence Lodge, founded in 1970, recently opened its new, modern
facility in April 2006 on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in the
magnificent 1000 Islands region – one of the most picturesque areas
in the world and a great place to live and work! This contemporary 224
bed municipal Long Term Care Home, is seeking interested professionals
for the position of
Position Summary
Nursing staff are an integral component of our multi-disciplinary team. Registered
nurses provide clinical leadership and mentoring and coaching to the
care team. The Home provides an opportunity for nurses to contribute
to development of new approaches to provision of care to the elderly. We
are seeking registered nurses with a commitment to provide excellence
in service to an elderly and frail population.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and
experience:
- A member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario is
required.
- Proven clinical and leadership skills and demonstrated ability in
core competencies, including excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
- Gerontology and palliative care experience, as well as, PIECES training
is an asset.
